Smartphone Choices of Billionaires: Beyond iPhones

While iPhones are often synonymous with wealth, some billionaires opt for alternatives. Tech titans Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg, for instance, prefer smartphones from other brands.

Bill Gates, the Microsoft co-founder, is known to favor Samsung devices. He seems to have a liking for the Galaxy Fold series, particularly the Galaxy Z Fold 5. With a net worth of $124 billion, Gates has been spotted using the Galaxy Fold 3 and Galaxy Fold 4 before.

Similarly, Zuckerberg, the Meta CEO overseeing Instagram and Facebook, also chooses Samsung. He was seen using the Galaxy S23 Ultra last year, and it's likely he has upgraded to the latest model, considering Samsung launched the Galaxy S24 series recently.

As for other wealthy individuals:

Jeff Bezos:

The Amazon founder's smartphone choice remains uncertain. Rumors suggest he might use either a Google Pixel or a premium Samsung Galaxy device. The only news about his phone surfaced when he was a victim of hacking in 2020, where he was found to use an iPhone. For security reasons, he may have switched to another brand.

Elon Musk:

Musk is known to use an iPhone alongside a Samsung Galaxy. He has reportedly been using both devices simultaneously for the past few years, although he has expressed a preference for iPhones over Android in the past.

Warren Buffett:

The 93-year-old entrepreneur may not be too interested in cutting-edge technology smartphones. He was known to use an old flip phone for years until he received an iPhone from Apple CEO Tim Cook. In 2019, Buffett was reported to be using an iPhone 11.

While iPhones remain popular among the wealthy, the smartphone choices of billionaires reflect a diverse range of preferences and priorities beyond brand recognition.
